SHATTER-PROOF is a unique, non-toxic, water base spray or dip which may be used on fresh flowers to extend quality and shelf life by reducing conditions of wilt, petal fall and bent neck. Spray fresh flowers with SHATTER-PROOF before hanging for air drying to reduce color loss, shredding and shattering.

The most unique quality of SHATTER-PROOF is its effectiveness on fresh flowers which have been hung to air dry. The coating of SHATTER-PROOF seals the flowers and foliage keeping the colors natural and vibrant reducing the conditions of shattering and shedding while retaining the fragrance. This coating also prevents the deterioration of the flowers which may appear as a dusty or slightly crumbly appearance over an extended time period as the flowers age. The coating will clean and restore a brightness to most fragile and older dried flowers. Shatter Proof is not visible on the materials, however the effect is revolutionary in the concept of air drying fresh flowers and foliage as well as cleaning and restoring previously dried materials.

SHATTER-PROOF can be used effectively to reduce many problems which occurs with fresh flowers and foliage as premature wilting, petal fall bent neck, etc. The more wilt prone the material, the more effective and apparent will be the properties of SHATTER-PROOF. The extra moisture protection can alleviate problems of premature blowing open of roses, drooping petals on large chrysanthemums, dropping petals of larkspur/delphinium and Queen Anne's lace. It also is effective for reducing the shedding of ferns, retaining moisture in flowers in foam, out of water, on hot days, or early installations for weddings, banquets and funerals.

SHATTER-PROOF may be applied to fresh flowers at the peak of freshness. This application is recommended after all petals have matured to a desired state and before deterioration begins. Roses should begin to open sufficiently for SHATTER-PROOF to reach the base of the petals before spraying. This will generally prevent petal drop and delay further opening. After application provide a time period for SHATTER-PROOF to dry on the flowers before returning to refrigeration.

Apply SHATTER-PROOF to the entire surface of the material to be sprayed. This includes the upper and lower surface reaching the base of petals for best results. SHATTER-PROOF is applied as a whitish liquid spray which dries to a clear finish. On most flowers there is not any visible evidence of the coating on the material. When applying SHATTER PROOF to flowers or completed bouquets that will be placed in a clear container as glass allow the coating of SHATTER-PROOF to dry on the flowers before placing in the clear vase. The excess dripping into the container will make the water cloudy. (This does not affect the quality of the water but will alter the appearance.)
